Abstract:
As modern technology pushed to smaller and smaller scales, the richness of nonlinear dynamics studied in the physics community becomes increasingly important. I will present examples of nonlinear dynamics in nanomechanical systems, and efforts to exploit these phenomena in scientific and technological applications such as precision clocks and single molecule sensors.
